February 9, 2025 - Napier, New Zealand

Dear friends and family,

Today we arrived in Napier, known as the "Art Deco City," and it truly lived up to its name. Walking through the streets felt like stepping back in time, with beautifully preserved Art Deco buildings everywhere.

Our group had so much fun. We hired van drivers to take us to see the sights. Above is a local park.

We stopped by a farmers market - deer bacon!

We enjoyed a snack near Te Mata Peak. River rafting was an option but I passed. It is beautiful here and I am having a wonderful time with the group!

The moon and stars were incredible from my balcony. I can’t wait to see the Southern Cross.
